Thoughts From The Woods - Let It Go...

Sometimes I think I have succeeded
and then the thoughts come creeping
under the door.

Thoughts from long long ago.
So thankful that is no longer my world.
Thoughts that some still live in that world
and I have the thought
why did they never move on
and be thankful for - now.
Maybe they just never wanted
the freedom.

Thankful that I have moved on
and life is good....

I hear the lyrics to this song
and I smile....

Let It Go

The snow glows on the mountain tonight
not a footprint to be seen.
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside.
Couldn't keep it in.  Heaven knows I tried.
Don't let them in, don't let them see.
Be the good girl you always have to be.
Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know.
Well now they know.

Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back any more.
Let it go, let it go.
Turn away and slam the door.
I don't care what you are going to say,
Let the storm rage on.
The cold never bothered me anyway.

It's funny how some distance,
makes everything seem small.
And the fears that once controlled me
can't get to me at all
It's time to see what I can do
to test the limits and break through.
No right, no wrong, no rules for me
I'm free

My power flurries through the air into the ground.
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like am icy blast
I'm never going back
the past is in the past....

We're all the same, I suspect. A thought takes up hurtling back through the years in a instant. And we relive it all again.

I think this popular song speaks to many women in many different ways, but you know you would not change many of those challenges because they have changed you for the better and made you a wiser woman.

Tabor and Anvilcloud, you are both so special with your words.
I thank you.
Love this song...
and yes
if you do not have challenges in this life
how else will you grow.

Ah "we're all hainted" as the Scots have it.

Unbidden, those riderless horses come towing thoughts of yesteryear.

I wish we could plan those moments, but nay, we cannae......

I thought it was strange that this song was composed for a Disney film for young girls. It should be OUR anthem!!!

Love when the good memories come sneaking in and bring a smile. Hate when the bad ones come sneaking in and bring a tear or a wonderment of, "Did I do the right thing?"

Peace my Friend.

Sharon, bless your heart
you better let it go
or it will destroy you.
I know so well...
