Morning Smile And Soon Time Change

Did not plan on posting today as it will be a busy day.
My soninlaw posted an image of my youngest granddaughter
and  his hair curling project.   Seems my 7 year old granddaughter'
requested curls and wanted them before her mom arrived home.
You did good :)
This brought back memories of years ago when I would wash my girls hair on Saturday night,
cover their heads with pin curls and then tie a little scarf on their head.
They would have a head full of curls for Sunday morning Sunday school....

Checked when time will go forward and the date is March 10th and that is around the corner.

Isn't that the sweetest? Jamie will be proud of her hubby.

Thanks for the reminder on time change....though it seems like we just changed our clocks.

I can also remember my mother putting my hair in a ponytail and then rolling it up in an old stocking. In the morning I had one big long curled ponytail.

And many ladies-of-a-certain-age remember the Toni perms their mothers gave them at home...*sigh*.

My mother would use rags on mine, they didn't hurt like the steel curlers that she used. I loved the curls from the rags and even practised on my granddaughter one time and she was thrilled.

Balisha, Hughes ap Williams and
Wisewebwoman, thanks for commenting.
Yes, soninlaw did something not many young men would do.
I always used pin curl clips on my girls...

This is so sweet! I'd like to see the final style. I used to have a terrible time washing my oldest daughter's hair on Saturdays; her hair was naturally curly and tangled really bad when washed. I'm sure she thought I was going to pull her hair out when I combed it. Then we found VO5 conditioner and it helped.

New reader really loving all you have to say....your life is interesting as it is....aging and all. I pray for your peacefulness to override any worries. I still have children at home and was hoping there would come a day where my thoughts would not be consumed by them. But forever a mom!

Charlotte :)
Susan, thank you for visiting. My experience is it is the same even when they are grown and now grandchildren to be concened over.
Maybe this is just me.
I have the thought "no loves her children like a mother"

My mom used to wash our hair every Saturday night in the kitchen sink and then we would sleep in curlers so we would look nice for Church. Thank you for the memory.

Aww. He did a very good job!
That brings back memories for me too. My mom would put curlers in her hair and sit under her big ol' dryer. I used to love that sound. And sometimes she would fix my hairs into curlers and I would sit under the dryer, all warm and toasty. I wonder if she still has that dryer. I think I'd like to keep it and use it every once in a while just for old times sake. :)
